Frequently asked questions

FAQs

I’ve never done yoga before, can I come to a class?

Yes, absolutely! We’re a beginner friendly studio & we recommend joining one of our drop-in Slow Flow and Restore, where we move a little slower.

Do classes start right on time, or can I sneak in a few minutes late?

Our studio doors will lock 1 minute past the official class start time, we’re located on the second floor, so we won’t be able to let you in once we start. Please aim to arrive at least 5 minutes before the class begins! No one needs that added pre-yoga stress!

What shall I wear?

We want you to feel as comfortable as possible! Wear something that you can easily move/ stretch in. We also recommend going barefoot!

Do I have to be flexible?

No, you don’t have to be flexible to do yoga! Our vibe is that you go at your pace. There’s a common misconception that you have to be flexible to do yoga and although over time your flexibility may improve, coming to yoga isn’t about being flexible!

Do I need my own mat?

We would recommend having your own yoga mat, it’s always nice to have your own but if you don’t have one, we have some amazing Yogi Bare studio mats that are available to borrow.

Is there somewhere I can get changed?

Absolutely! We have a changing room to leave coats/bags & a designated cubicle to change in!

Where can I park?

If you arrive at the studio after 6pm or on a weekend, you can park in the spaces right outside the building but you will need a permit (which can be collected form the studio and returned after class). Weekdays before 6pm, there is plenty of street parking around Crossgate & Allergate.

Can I do yoga if I’m injured?

If you have an injury, we would highly recommend visiting your physiotherapist or your GP before attending a class and making the teacher aware so that we can suggest any appropriate modifications.
