Brand new to yoga?

Welcome! If yoga is new (or new-ish) to you, this page is your go-to guide.

What to expect in your first class?

We know starting something new can feel a little daunting, but we’re here to make your yoga journey welcoming and supportive from the very first class. Here are some things to help you get started:

  • Arrive 10 minutes early so we can welcome you, show you around, and get you settled

  • Wear comfortable clothes you can easily move in (e.g. leggings, shorts, t-shirt)

  • A mat and props are provided — no need to bring anything except water

  • We’ll move at a pace that honours your body — no prior flexibility or strength required

  • Teachers will offer modifications & alternatives — always do what feels safe for you

  • Please make teachers aware of any injuries/illness that may effect your practice

Which class is best for me?

We recommend starting with our beginner-friendly classes. Mellow Flow is a gentle, steady-paced class where you can explore the foundations of yoga without feeling rushed.

If you’d like to focus on calming your mind and balancing your body, Somatic Yoga combines slow movement with breathwork and relaxation.

For those seeking deep rest, Restorative or Yin Yoga offers long-held, supported poses that help release tension and invite stillness.
